SEAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
MORE ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This workshop will take place on the beautiful Norfolk Coast during the Grey Seal pupping season. During this period the grey seals halt onto the beach to mate and have pups.
This workshop run throughout the beginning of December and I generally recommend running these on a 1-1 basis to minimise disturbance on the seals during their sensitive breeding season. I would be happy to accept two people on the same workshop for a double booking.
I recommend start the session 45minutes before sunrise and the course will last 4 hours. Early mornings are the best time to photograph the seals due to less human activity on the beach and we will hopefully get some beautiful golden hour light.
Equipment Required
Camera
Focal length of at least 400mm would be best. We have to keep a relative distance away from the seals.
Tri-pod is not required unless you are looking to video. I always recommend a bean bag instead.
Spare batteries and SD cards.
Warm and waterproof clothing. You are exposed to all the elements and it can get very cold on the beech.
Wellies or waterproof shoes.
A matt to lay one to stop you and your equipment from getting sandy/wet.
Snacks or a pack lunch
Investment on workshop: £150 per person or £280 for a double booking.
Workshop Dates: 17th of November - 7th of December
Timings: Workshops will run for around 4 hours, with the session starting 45minutes before sunsrise. Full-day sessions are available upon request.
Parking: There is plenty of parking at the site
Fitness Required: Moderate level of fitness. There is around a 2km walk on the sand dunes or sandy beaches.
