The London Rowing Club is situated on the Embankment in Putney, West London. It is a beautiful building which has spectacular views overlooking the River Thames with views of Putney Bridge, Bishops Park and even Craven Cottage Football Stadium. It is such an amazing place for a wedding.
The long room is multifunctional and perfect room for wedding ceremonys, dining and the evening dancefloor. Suspended on the ceiling the long room is decorated with the Team GB’s rowing boat from the 1936 Berlin Olypmics. Enjoy some drinks on the long balcony whilst watching rowers glide up and down the Thames. This venue has it all!

I have photographed numerous weddings at the London Rowing Club but here are a couple of my favourites. These featured weddings contain almost a full collection of photos from a wedding day, hopefully it gives you an idea of what to expect from me as a wedding photographer.
Why I love The London Rowing Club as a Wedding Photographer?
The London Rowing Club in Putney is the second-oldest active rowing club on the Thames in London. It was founded 156 years ago by members wishing to compete at Henley Royal Regatta and it is now regarded as one of the most successful rowing clubs in Britian. Now it isn't just a club house for the rowers it is also a wedding venue!
I have been fortunate enough to capture numerous weddings at the London Rowing Club and it is a venue I could keep coming back to. I love the position of the venue on Putney Embankment and the views of the Thames make the perfect backdrop for couple photos with the bride and groom. The venue itself is perfect for a wedding photographer as the tall arched windows let in plenty of natural light. Meaning I don't have to have a high ISO and the images are less noisy. This venue really has everything you could need!
“He was on time at every step, which clearly is important and managed to capture all of the great moments in a natural way. We don’t particularly like ‘posey’ photos and felt Tom did a great job of getting pictures and capturing emotion without forcing it.”

I photograph weddings in a documentary style, which means I capture the moments of your special day in a natural and unobtrusive way. I believe the best photos always come when people are unaware of the camera and are 100% themselves.
Weddings should be a celebration for the bride and groom and not a long boring photo shoot. I like to blend into the day as much as possible and hopefully I will feel like one of your guests.
I won’t be showing up with multiple tripods, huge telephoto lenses or light stands. Instead, I carry just two Canon cameras attached to each hip, allowing me to stay lightweight and move swiftly to capture all the natural moments of your wedding.
All I ask is that you and your wedding party enjoy yourselves! I will make sure I am in the right place at the right time to capture all the action at your wedding!
