MY FAVOURITE IMAGES FROM THE ALBION ROOMS
Here are a selection of my favourite images taken at The Albion Rooms. I have been lucky enough to photograph a number of weddings here so far, and I hope to photograph more in the future. I loved integrating the unique interiors of the hotel into the images, providing very different wedding images which both sets of couples loved. Take a look and see for yourselves.
The Albion Rooms
This hotel is owned by The Libertines band members Pete Doherty and Carl Barât. They have converted this run-down Victorian terrace into a beautiful and quirky hotel which now hosts weddings and functions. Pete Doherty's artwork is plastered over all the walls, and the interior designs are incredibly unique.
The Albion Rooms offers a unique take on a wedding venue, and I have never seen a wedding venue that matches the vibe.
They have a lovely courtyard out the back which offers a lovely area for a drinks reception when the sun is shining. The main reception room for the wedding breakfast has stunning natural light seeping through the tall bay window, with beautiful sea views.
The hotel itself is a punk-noir style Victorian terrace house with views overlooking Walpole Bay. If you're looking for a trendy Margate wedding venue, then this hotel has to be on your list.
The Albion Rooms is located on Eastern Esplanade Road and is only a 15-minute walk to Margate seafront. It is ideally located for wedding photos, as I often offer to take my couples to some of Margate’s iconic landmarks to get some intimate couple images in front of the Lido, the Turner Contemporary, and along the Harbour Arm. If you don't want to drive, then we can take a short walk across the road, around the Oval Gardens, and onto Walpole Bay Beach. This venue has everything you need to create some stunning wedding images.

I photograph weddings in a documentary style, which means I capture the moments of your special day in a natural and unobtrusive way. I believe the best photos always come when people are unaware of the camera and are 100% themselves.
Weddings should be a celebration for the bride and groom and not a long boring photo shoot. I like to blend into the day as much as possible and hopefully I will feel like one of your guests.
I won’t be showing up with multiple tripods, huge telephoto lenses or light stands. Instead, I carry just two Canon cameras attached to each hip, allowing me to stay lightweight and move swiftly to capture all the natural moments of your wedding.
All I ask is that you and your wedding party enjoy yourselves! I will make sure I am in the right place at the right time to capture all the action at your wedding!
