MY FAVOURITE IMAGES FROM THE OLD TIMBER STORE
Here are a few of my favourite images from a wedding I photographed at the Old Timber Store. The contrasting light and rustic vibe were such a joy to work with as a photographer.
The Old Timber Store
The Old Timber Store is a converted railway arch on Maltby Street in Bermondsey. If you get married on a Saturday, you are thrown into the hustle and bustle of Maltby Market, which creates a wonderful street environment (something I love), as I like to integrate street photography techniques into my wedding photography. The huge flags that hang above Maltby Street are beautiful and make a great backdrop for couple and group photos.
You can often hear the trains as they pass over the brick viaduct, which adds a lovely industrial feel to the venue, taking you back to 19th-century industrial London.
This venue is perfect for couples looking to have an intimate and low-key wedding. The Old Timber Store can hold a maximum of 55 guests. You also have two options for hiring the venue for different time lengths.
2 hours – ceremony only
4 hours – ceremony and drinks reception
Both options are perfect for couples looking to have a low-key wedding. You can also extend your time by having your evening party or reception in The Malt Bar, located in a railway arch just down the road. This bar offers the same rustic vibe as the Old Timber Store.
You're in safe hands with Sonya, the events manager, who always works so hard to make sure your wedding day runs smoothly.

DOCUMENTARY
WEDDING
PHOTOGRAPHY
I photograph weddings in a documentary style, which means I capture the moments of your special day in a natural and unobtrusive way. I believe the best photos always come when people are unaware of the camera and are 100% themselves.
Weddings should be a celebration for the bride and groom and not a long boring photo shoot. I like to blend into the day as much as possible and hopefully I will feel like one of your guests.
I won’t be showing up with multiple tripods, huge telephoto lenses or light stands. Instead, I carry just two Canon cameras attached to each hip, allowing me to stay lightweight and move swiftly to capture all the natural moments of your wedding.
All I ask is that you and your wedding party enjoy yourselves! I will make sure I am in the right place at the right time to capture all the action at your wedding!
