1. Hill & Pergola Gardens
The Hill Gardens and Pergola make the perfect setting for anyone planning a proposal. Located on the outskirts of London, this hidden gem is ideal for an intimate and quiet proposal. With hardly any visitors, it provides the perfect serene setting to frame your special moment. It is also just outside Hampstead, a beautiful area of London, making it perfect for a couple’s photoshoot after your surprise proposal.
2. Tower Bridge
Tower Bridge is a popular proposal spot situated on the River Thames in central London. This Victorian cantilever bridge provides a breathtaking backdrop for a London proposal. There are many vantage points along the Thames to capture Tower Bridge in the background. One of my favorite spots is Sugar Key Jetty, which offers a stunning, unobstructed view of Tower Bridge. This is definitely a location to consider when planning your London proposal.
3. Primrose Hill
If you’re looking for a proposal spot with a view of London’s skyline, Primrose Hill is a fantastic choice. Situated near Regent’s Park, this elevated spot offers a green landscape with the city’s skyline in the background. It’s also a great location if your partner is a Bridget Jones fan! Plus, its proximity to Camden Market and Regent’s Park provides excellent options for celebrating after your proposal.
4. Kyoto Gardens
Kyoto Gardens, located in Holland Park in central London, is a serene and romantic setting for a proposal. This beautiful Japanese garden features a waterfall and pond, with a charming bridge running in front of the waterfall—making it a perfect, intimate, and tranquil place to pop the question.
5. St Dunstan in the East
Nestled between the tall buildings of Monument, St. Dunstan in the East is a beautifully unique proposal spot. These historic church ruins were bombed during the Blitz in World War II but have since become a picturesque hidden gem. The high-arched doorways, windows, and tangled ivy create a dreamy, intimate setting for a quiet and memorable proposal.
6. Parliment Hill
A scenic viewpoint in the heart of Hampstead Heath, Parliament Hill offers breathtaking views of London’s skyline. Surrounded by woodland and grass meadows, it is the perfect setting for a post-proposal couple’s shoot.
7. Big Ben
Arguably the most iconic landmark in London, Big Ben provides a stunning and historic backdrop for your proposal. The iconic bell tower makes it clear to all your friends and family that you proposed in the heart of London.
8. Greenwich Park
For those seeking a quiet and intimate proposal location, Greenwich Park is an excellent choice. The One Tree Hill Vista Point is one of the best spots to propose, offering a peaceful atmosphere and stunning views over Greenwich.
9. Millennium Bridge
A memorable and picturesque location, Millennium Bridge offers breathtaking views of the River Thames and London’s skyline, including the dome of St. Paul’s Cathedral. Although this location is quite busy, its scenic beauty makes it worth considering.
10. Hyde Park
London’s largest park provides numerous picturesque locations for a proposal. Whether in front of Serpentine Lake or near the Albert Memorial, Hyde Park offers a perfect blend of nature and romance.
11. Kew Gardens
Kew Gardens is vast and incredibly beautiful, offering a variety of stunning proposal spots. Whether in front of The Palm House or Temperate House with their grand spiral staircases and tropical plants, at the King William Temple, or within the colorful Rhododendron Dell, Kew Gardens ensures a breathtaking setting for your special moment.
12. Regents Park
With elegant gardens and vast green spaces, Regent’s Park is a fantastic choice for a London proposal. You can opt for a secluded proposal in the Japanese Garden Island, which is particularly quiet in the morning. The boating lake also provides a romantic backdrop.

London is a huge city and there are so many different locations to choose from. Have a think about what you would like you images to look like. Do you want images infront of an iconic landmark? Unfortunately British weather is unpredictable. I wish I could snap my fingers and stop the rain but unfortunately I cannot control the weather. I will get in contact and we can decide together whether we’d like to postpone the shoot or be brave and face the bad weather.

The best time of day is dependant on numerous factors. If your looking for the best light then within 2 hours after sunrise or before sunset is the best time. If you want privacy at a busy location then the earlier in the day the better! We will have a chat to discuss what works best for you and the images.

Anything that makes you happy. The engagement photos should reflect the two of you as people and your sytle. I suggest wearing an outfit that makes you feel good and one that you love. We will be walking around during the engagement session so I would recommend wearing comfortable shoes and avoid bags as much as possible as they will get in the way.
-
I always carry 2 cameras in my bag and multiple lenses. On the day your images are stored on 2 SD cards and then backed-up in multiple locations when I get home!

I am fully insured for both public liability and professional indemnity. In the highly unlikely event that I cannot make your wedding (it would have to take something incredibly serious for me not to attend). Firstly I would ask my huge community of lovely photographers if anyone could step in to document your wedding. If this isn’t possible I will offer a full refund excluding your deposit. This hasn’t happened yet and I hope it never will.
